Join us for the Inaugural Newcastle Netball First Nations Carnival

Join more than 500 First Nations netballers from across the Hunter Region for the inaugural Newcastle Netball First Nations Carnival.

This is a drug and alcohol-free event aimed at increasing participation of Netball in the local First Nations community in a competitive environment.

There will be NetSetGo activities for children 11 years and under, stalls and activations.

Date: Saturday 20 April 2024
Location: Newcastle Netball Court, Union Street Cooks Hill
Team entry fee: $200 per team
Team Nominations close:  5 April 2024

Team categories for competition 

  • 12 - 15 years mixed

  • 12 - 15 years girls

  • Open Mixed (minimum age turning 16 in 2024)

  • Open Women (minimum age turning 16 in 2024)

Information for teams

 

Team nominations

  1. Team captains must nominate a team by email to the Registrar NO LATER than 5 April 2024 registrar@newcastlenetball.com.au.

  2. After close of team nominations, Team Captains will be provided with instructions to register team members in PlayHQ and confirmation of the bank account for team entry fee deposit.

 

Team guidelines

  • Maximum of twelve players registered per team

  • Maximum of three non- First Nations players per team

  • Each team must be prepared to provide at least one non player umpire

  • Players can only play in the team registered in

  • Drug and alcohol-free event

  • The rules for play shall be those of Netball Australia

  • Code of Conduct will be managed under the Netball NSW Code of Behaviour Policy and  Netball NSW Member Protection Policy
